Recover Hard Disks Involving Scandisk and Chkdsk
What is disk repair software such as Scandisk and Chkdsk
Programs like Scandisk and Chkdsk are basically software utilities which are designed in order to find the various kinds of errors and also correct certain errors of file systems on the hard disk. Scandisk also checks platter of disks for other defects and searches for the lost clusters which are created at the time of termination of any program. When a computer experiences shutdown in an incorrect fashion then the software for disk checking will automatically get initiated and start next time you start the computer. The computer will follow up by scan guard disk and then detect the errors in the file system and make attempts to repair it.
Why to avoid running this disk checking software?
Most people get greatly confused when they encounter occasions wherein the computer automatically triggers a check of the disk utilities and assumes that the problem exists with file system. Actually the problem might be concerned with hard disk which may have further caused a problem to the system of files. While most symptoms may be identical the real cause of problems are different. In such a case a run of disk check must be completely avoided.
